Al's Hostel offers the chance to stay in the heart of the Old Town of Split, Croatia. In a hostel with a kitchen, a common area, and an English speaking host who cares about his guests all this in a great location 2 minutes walk from the sea front, and about 8 minutes (with a heavy pack) from the Ferry terminals, Bus and train Station.
Here the Old Town really is on your doorstep. The hostel is in a house over 800 years old and has some of the original stone wall on display. Fitted with all the modern amenities you'd expect for a comfortable stay. Our common area (part in the Old Fireplace next to the kitchen) is much in demand and the scene of many a wine fueled evening's entertainment.
In keeping the hostel limited to 12 beds a friendly intimate atmosphere is almost guaranteed and for this reason the Hostel is particularly suitable for solo travellers rather than couples and we have a strict "no shagging" policy in the dorm. In the summer we have a appartments where we can accomodate couples who might want more privacy.
At present we are NOT known by the local tourist board, or the local "ladies" down by the bus/train/ferry station so if you can't find us get a phone card and call, we can help. As we are NOT YET OFFICIAL asking for directions may mean you end up staying somewhere else!!! The "touts" at the bus station or by the Tourist Info may also mislead you..Please, please please use the map and directions.

BOOKING
All bookings will be held against your Credit Card. No charge will be made EXCEPT for no show. Make sure you leave enough time for your email to be read,replied to and for you to send details when booking. OR phone us! IF you are arriving after 17.00 pm make sure we know it otherwise you might be sleeping on the floor. Payment will be in full on arrival and C.C. details destroyed.
CHANGE OF BOOKING
If you wish to change the booking in any way you MUST notfy us 48hours before the start of the booking BY PHONE. Failure to do so will leave YOU LIABLE for payment charged against your credit card. In the case of a NO SHOW you will be charged for the FULL AMOUNT of the first nights' reservation. So a group of three would be charged 3 nights accomodation.
The Hostel is normally open Easter to October. You can use the contact us facility if you are making enquiries, need info or wish to book. At pesent we are the only hostel in Split, this may change. Please print out the map and directions it will help YOU hugely!!

From 08:30am-13:00pm and from 17:00pm-20:30pm
Arrival before 08:30am or after 20:30pm is possible but should be mentioned on the phone. Once checked in you get your own key.
